For families with hospitalized children, days can feel never-ending. Thankfully, there's a place for them to recharge: a Ronald McDonald Family Room. Families can get some rest, eat a snack, and even take a shower - all within the hospital, just steps from their child's bedside.

McDonald's restaurants and their customers raise funds every day to support Ronald McDonald House Charities Mid-Michigan, and we know how important it is to reinvest those dollars back into their local communities. McDonald’s and their customers, Frankenmuth Auto Fest, the William F. McNally Family Foundation and other community partners have helped support the RMFR at Covenant HealthCare to make it a reality for families in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
The RMFR at Covenant HealthCare is currently under construction and is planning for a grand opening in the spring of 2024. The RMFR will be strategically located on the second floor of Covenant’s Harrison Campus near the Pediatric Department to allow families easy access to the space. The new RMFR will feature three private rooms with beds, two wellness spaces for family privacy, two bathrooms equipped with showers, a pantry and a kitchenette. A dedicated full-time staff member and volunteers will be on-site to offer care and assistance when families visit as they support their child's medical journey.
