Meet Our Staff & Board

Our Family

Our staff works together to make sure each and every family feels welcome when they walk into our House. Our staff is small but mighty. We take the time to care, listen and welcome every family into our House and make sure their individual needs are being met.

From day-to-day operations and maintenance of our House, to fundraising and coordinating volunteers, our team is committed to making our House a home.

Executive Director

Carolyn manages our House and its staff on a day to day basis. She works with the Board of Directors to improve our House and guide operations aligned with the Mission. She works with partners and donors, community outreach, team leadership, oversees successful fundraising events and project management.

Ruth Lumbert portrait
Ruth Lumbert
House Manager

Ruth has been involved with our House since it was built. She knows everything there is to know about what our families need and require to get the most out of their stay with us. Ruth covers our office during weekday afternoons and evenings and works directly with guest family referrals and stay requests. Ruth also coordinates and manages our volunteers.

Program Support Assistant

ZaQuan covers our office during the week. His primary focus is ensuring our families are well cared for and keeping the House clean and comfortable for them during their stay. He and our House Manager work hand-in-hand to provide consistent, high-quality service to our guests all day long. ZaQuan also greets and handles drop-off donations.

Development Director

Amy oversees outreach strategies, connecting with community partners, cultivating relationships, and building awareness for support. She plans, organizes, and executes cornerstone fundraising events, including “Golf for the House” in July, “Run for the House” in March and "Battle for the Houses" in the Fall.
