The time is here to register for the 2025 Run for the House! The Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan is excited to partner again with our Champion Sponsor, Michigan State University Federal Credit Union!
Together, we are offering a 5K walk/run, a 10K run/ruck, a kids fun run and sprint, plus a virtual any-distance option. We cannot wait to see all of you!
5K In Person Run/Walk: Participants who chose this option will choose to either run or walk on the marked course on MSUFCU's Headquarters on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 10:00am. The course will guide you out onto West Rd and through the paved paths on MSUFCU's campus. This course will be timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
10K In Person Run/Ruck: Participants who choose this option will choose to either run or ruck on the marked courses beginning on MSUFCU's Headquarters on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with a 20-minute open start time. The 10K course will guide participants onto West Rd and through the paved paths on MSUFCU's campus (double loop of the 5k course). The course will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
- What is a Ruck?
- Rucking is walking with weight on your back based on military training workouts. Participants will provide their own weighted vests or backpacks. The course limit for rucking will be 2 hours.
In Person Kids Fun Run and Sprint: Children ages 12 & under registering for our kids races can enjoy both the Sprint (very short distance that even our youngest participants can complete) and our mile-long Fun Run. The Sprint starts at 9:15 a.m., and the Fun Run will begin immediately afterward. Kids race registration allows children to participate in both races. Pacers will run with kids to keep them on the right path
Virtual Race: Participants who choose the virtual race option can run or walk the race between April 11, 2024 through April 13, 2025. Virtual participants can participate anywhere their feet will take them — at home, on a treadmill, in a neighborhood or at a local park! A race packet can be ordered, but packets must be picked up in person. Awards will not be available for virtual participants.

Help make a difference for families of seriously ill children. Your participation in the Run for the House 5K walk/run, 10K run/ruck, kids fun run and sprint, and/or virtual any-distance race, will help the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan provide a home-away-from-home for those families who have a child being hospitalized or receiving treatment at Lansing-area hospitals and clinics. The House offers a comfortable, inexpensive and private place for families to sleep, eat and relax. Here families find a caring atmosphere where they can receive strength and encouragement from others who are also going through difficult times.

At the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan, our purpose is keeping families close to the care their sick children need, and providing comfort, support and resources for families just steps from the hospital. We can't wait to bring you the 2025 Run for the House while continuing our commitment to keep families safe while keeping them close. We will continue to follow local government health guidelines surrounding events.
Employees of the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan are Sparrow employees. As a result, we follow the Sparrow Health System staff guidelines.
