TAKE A SHIFT

Volunteers staff the House from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. seven days a week. We have four different shifts of volunteers:

All persons who serve as volunteers must be at least 18 years old and be responsible to volunteer as scheduled. Volunteer duties are varied — depending on the day of the week, time of day, occupancy rate and number of families.

Below is a list of some duties that volunteers handle at the House:

While the list describes typical volunteer duties, our House is successful in serving families due to the flexibility of our volunteers. We depend on people who are willing to pitch in wherever needed.

On behalf of the families, volunteers and staff here at the House, thank you for your interest in the Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan.

COOKING FOR THEIR HOME-AWAY-FROM-HOME

Our Family Meals from the Heart program is an opportunity to directly help the families staying at the House. Volunteers who provide meals for our families play an integral part in making the House a home-away-from-home for visitors during their children’s illness.

SAVE THOSE POP TABS

Ronald McDonald Houses are one of the few organizations across the nation that collect pop tabs! We take the tabs to a recycling company that pays the House in return. The amount of pop tabs collected and donated annually and provides enough funding to cover the House’s utilities for a month. We’re a BIG House, so a month’s utilities covers a lot!

Drop them off or mail them in!
